about this home's

4 Heathcliff Drive offers the ultimate southern Marin lifestyle — a peaceful sun-drenched retreat, with bridge-to-bridge views and room to roam, just minutes from Tiburon’s shops, restaurants, award-winning schools, and frequent ferries to San Francisco.

The stunning house nestles on over half an acre at the end of a cul de sac bordering the open space of Old St. Hilary’s Preserve, with hiking and mountain biking trails leading directly from the property across the wildflower-strewn hillside and on to the shops, restaurants, and ferries in downtown Tiburon. Every room in the house features panoramic views across the sparkling waters of the San Francisco Bay, from the Bay Bridge and the skyscrapers of downtown San Francisco to the full expanse of the Golden Gate Bridge, Sausalito, and the Marin Headlands.

A graceful, curving driveway leads to the 4,165+/- square foot, 6 bedroom, 3 1/2 bath contemporary home perched in a hollow on the verdant hillside. The exquisite foyer opens onto the spacious living room with vaulted ceilings and sweeping views. The living and adjacent dining area flow out onto the large entertaining deck that spans the entire southern facade of the house. Just beyond is the gourmet kitchen, walk-in butler’s pantry, and generous family room. The premier bedroom suite completes this level, with a luxurious marble-clad, radiant heat bath, bay window, and French doors providing access to the hot tub outside. Upstairs are four more bedrooms, equally well-suited as offices or studies, and a large full bath with double sinks. A mudroom connects the house to the oversized two car attached garage and the lovely guest studio above, which features a kitchenette, full bath, and open space hillside views.

The warm and inviting home was recently renovated with the finest finishes and high-end appliances. The house was constructed with the environment top of mind, including solar panels and a back-up Tesla battery, fire-resistant exterior ceramic shingles and an interior sprinkler system, and a steel moment frame for earthquake protection.

Opportunities for outdoor entertaining abound. The wide deck provides optimal indoor/outdoor flow across the entire expanse of the main living level, with a hot tub, multiple seating and dining areas, and gas plumbing for an outdoor grill, fire pit, and heat lamps. The 25,883+/- square foot lot includes a large fenced lawn, perfect for soccer practice and garden parties. Trails for hiking, biking, and excursions to town lead directly from the property across 122 acres of protected open space along the Tiburon ridge, with jaw-dropping views from every angle.

This idyllic home provides an unparalleled quality of life, with its gorgeous and welcoming house and grounds, access to hiking trails and open space, vibrant local community with award-winning schools, and close proximity to both the charming village of downtown Tiburon and the world class city of San Francisco.

Tiburon’s waterfront location makes it a prime destination for Marin County homebuyers. For a town of less than 10,000 residents, Tiburon offers a variety of activities that belies its small size. The annual Tiburon International Film Festival brings films from around the world. Residents enjoy shopping in the elegant boutiques along Ark Row, a leafy, block-long enclave of tiny shops that were once floating arks, and dining at the excellent restaurants along Main Street. For the nautically inclined, Tiburon's Corinthian Yacht Club hosts races on the bay. Ferries to San Francisco and Angel Island State Park leave from the dock at Tiburon. Tiburon's parks are strung out like pearls on a necklace along the water’s edge. Blackie's Pasture, named after an old swaybacked horse that once lived here, is a popular spot for hikers, joggers, bikers, moms with strollers, and dog walkers. On weekends, the parks fill up with soccer players of all ages.
